Return on investment
Enabling you to achieve the results you deserve
Our clients measure return on investment (ROI) in all sorts of ways, including increased profits, improved staff morale, successful introduction of new tools and processes and enhanced key performance indicators. So we requested some feedback on perceived ROI from a selection of clients and this is what they said:
What our clients say
Director of a family-owned, multi-sector recruitment business:
“We started working with Absolutely Business in March 2007. Amongst other things she assisted us in analysing our business, strategic and business planning and extensive staff training.
Clearly it is difficult to be precise about the return on investment that Absolutely Business provides; however, I can say this: in 2006/07, we already had a successful and profitable business, with a turnover in excess of £1.6M which we had built up since 1998, without the benefit of external consultancy. In 2007/08, the year we started working with Denise, our temp turnover increased by 38% and our perm turnover by 26%. Total turnover was up by 31%. That year, our investment in Absolutely Business represented 2.1% of our costs and, whilst the market was buoyant and we are a professional company, I firmly believe that they made a significant contribution to our success and far in excess of our investment.
We continue to work with Absolutely Business and greatly value their input into our business.”
Managing Director of an international IT recruitment business:
“I initially asked Denise to come in once a month to provide desk-side coaching for my sales team. This evolved to include working with everyone in the business at every level and has covered to date: group training workshops; establishing sales and service structure and processes; improving our HR infrastructure; management development and business planning.
In difficult economic times, like many others in our field, we are affected by external factors outside of our control. So I measure our investment in terms of improved effectiveness; enhanced team work; the dramatic improvement in activity conversion rates and the general movement in the right direction of our sales figures!”
CEO of a blue chip search and selection business:
“I have known Denise for many years and we have engaged Absolutely Business over the past few years on a variety of development initiatives.
In 2009 I retained her to lead a major programme across the business in the UK. Her task was to ensure that we were approaching the marketing, client and candidate contact as well as the overall delivery at a high standard and in a consistent fashion across the business. In addition we asked Denise to help us introduce a more structured approach to account management and also to coach some of the junior and middle management.
Her contribution was outstanding. Productivity and activity increased last year and through improved account management we succeeded in securing new major accounts. In what was without doubt the most difficult year in the history of our industry we managed to achieve an EBITA in the UK of just under £1m, retain our key people and maintain a positive working environment. Denise’s contribution over the year was clearly a significant factor in our success.”
